Motor City Bowl: 12/26, 4:30pm PT. Central Michigan vs. Florida AtlanticA rather mediocre Florida Atlantic team against a Central Michigan team that would have won their conference if it weren't for Ball State. From what I have seen in Central Michigan they move the ball well and can play solid defense. Their offense is capable of putting up a ton of points and that will be the key for them as they win this game in a shoot out.
Meineke Car Care Bowl: 12/27, 10:00am PT. West Virginia vs. North CarolinaThese two teams match up great with each other. The strength of both teams is their running games; West Virginia’s speedy option offense led by Pat White and Noel Devine against the power running game of the Tar Heels. North Carolina’s run-stopping defense will make the difference here. If they can come up with big stops and their offense keeps the ball moving they will win. I take North Carolina.
Champs Sports Bowl: 12/27, 1:30pm PT Wisconsin vs. Florida StateThis is a big game between two big name programs. Wisconsin is a big team. Their offense features a huge O-line and two big running backs. Florida State features a very speedy defense that flows to the ball quickly. This will be an interesting match up between speed and size. Florida State’s speed along with their great pass rush will win the game for them. I take Florida State.
Emerald Bowl: 12/27, 5:00pm PT California vs. MiamiThis will be a good game. A young speedy team in Miami against a veteran Cal team that loves to run the ball. Miami has one flaw that will kill them in this game; they are unable to stop the run. This is terrible for them as they face a Cal team that has a great running game and honestly can run all over anyone. With that in mind, California will win this game fairly easily.
