In a reportedly close decision, wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh chose the Seattle Seahawks today over the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Bengals.According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, sources told ESPN's Michael Smith the deal was worth more than $40 million for five years, with more than $15 million guaranteed. The 31-year-old Houshmandzadeh was widely considered to be the prize of the receiver free-agent class, and the former Pro Bowler faced pressure from both former teammate Carson Palmer and the Vikings to choose their respective teams. His departure from the Bengals means that disgruntled wide receiver Chad Johnson may have to remain with the squad for another season, as he is the only remaining deep threat.Â
