The Pewter Plank:
After they picked up quarterback Jevan Snead, the Bucs continued to recruit other prospects. Reports are out that the Bucs have signed former Florida State receiver Preston Parker and are in talks with Tennessee linebacker Rico McCoy, as well as offensive guard Sergio Render.
- Preston Parker (5′11″, 197) – Played at Florida State before being dismissed from the program after being arrested for driving under the influence. He finished his collegiate career at Division II North Alabama where he played rather well.
- Rico McCoy (6′1″, 220) – Finished his senior season with a career high 114 tackles and an impressive six forced fumbles. He also racked up 106 tackles in his sophomore year at Tennessee.
- Sergio Render (6′2″, 318) – A four-year starter at Virginia Tech, Render was a second-team All-ACC member in 2008 and plays very physical against the pass rush.
