Cam Newton doesn’t quite get it.

I don’t think this kid has any clue just how much trouble he might potentially be in. When the FBI is involved, you probably want to play it a little closer to the vest and not, you know, leap up on the wall and blow kisses to the Auburn faithful like you’re Eleanor of Aquitaine. (don’t look that reference up, I have to idea who Eleanor of Aquitaine is or what she did.)

I’m getting a clueless, overly-entitled vibe from Newton. He seems to think he can do anything to anyone at any time and, because he rocks it on the gridiron, consequences are for other suckers. Newton has a Vince Young slash Maurice Clarett thing goin’ on and while it may lead to collegiate glory, life is long and hard outside campus. Unless you play in the NBA, an attitude like Newton’s often gets you penalized in ‘real’ life and puts a bull’s eye on your back if (when) you stumble. Since Newton has obviously not been taught the skills to lead a straightforward life, you can bet your war eagle we will be putting up with public indiscretions and private allegations for years to come. Oh boy.
