With the 201st overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers select Michigan OG Stephen Schilling. A competitive, hard-working lineman with limited athleticism and upside, Schilling sets with a wide base, bends his knees, and is a solid position blocker who seals defenders from the action. Better than average skill pulling across the line of scrimmage, very quick off the snap, and explosive at the point of attack. Keeps his feet moving, anchors in pass protection, and turns defenders from the action as a run blocker. Schilling has been very productive on the college level and is a blocker who does the little things well. He lacks great upside but possesses the ability to play several positions on the line, which could prove invaluable in the NFL.
