Checking In On The Kelowna Falcons 2009 Infielders

The Kelowna Falcons of the WCL will open their 2009 season on the road against Spokane on the 5th of June. Here is a brief look at how their future infielders have played during the regular season.Louie Templeton (Bellevue) hit a smooth .415/.698/.498 in 159 at-bats this year. He scored 49 runs, drove in 44 and hit 8 homers. He had a bb/k ratio of 21/11 and stole 24 of 27 bases. He was named the MCAC Player of the Year.Dwight Tanaka (Cal) hit .266 in 64 at-bats this year. He had 9 doubles and stole 7 bases for the Bears.Jeremy Mayo (Texas Tech) hit .313 with an OPS of 1.071 in 144 at-bats. He was 2nd on the team with 11 homers and he drove in 35.Jason Kudlock (Cal-Bakersfield) hit .270 in 89 at-bats. Wes Gilmer (Cal) hit .250 in 84 at-bats. He scored 15 runs, drove in 12 and had 5 doubles this year.Eric Johnson (UC Davis) hit .276 in 87 at-bats. He hit 1 homer and drove in 6 this year.Michael Aldrete (UC Davis) hit .173 in 75 at-bats. He is the son of former big leaguer, Mike Aldrete.
