In a game that was the worst Cincinnati game I remember watching in a very long time, the Bearcats beat Miami 14-0. The scoring didn't start until the 4th quarter. Hosey Williams capped in a 79 yard drive with a 1 yard run. Brendon Kay cashed in a Deven Drane INT with another 1 yard TD run. This was the second road game. This was the second road game that Cincinnati looked awful and came out very flat. Unlike Illinois, the Bearcats were lucky they played one of the worst offensive teams in the nation. Miami is extraordinarily awful offensively. Cincinnati is solid so 1+1 = no chance for Miami to move the ball. The defense looked great. They solved the sack problem by getting at least 4, possibly 5. Jordan Stepp and Silverberry Mouhon registered multiples. Arryn Chenault joined Drane with an INT. This group can be exploited, yes, but if you can't throw the ball, you have no chance. That is scary for later in the season, but for now it's not that bad. According to Paul Dehner, Miami had 1 net yard the second half. The Redhawks had 87 for the game. They had 7 rushing yards. Quick offensive shout outs. RDA had 90 yards rushing and 16 receiving. Shaq Washington had 11 catches. Hosey Williams had 78 yards and punched in his 4th TD of the season. Not a ton of impressive offense. This game was more of a relief than a great win. UC isn't going to play for the national title. They weren't going to get votes for the polls unless they won 100-0. They just needed to win. They did. I don't really feel like talking about this game right now. I think I need a shower to wash the stench off of me.
