With spring football in full swing, several storylines are beginning to develop on the college fantasy football front.  Here's a rundown of the latest headlines.

**********

Texas A&M
News: RB Christine Michael ready to roll earlier than expected.
CFG Analysis: He is coming off an ACL injury suffered in November. Reports are that he has looked sharp and ready for a big season. Even with the move to the SEC, Michael could put up #1 RB numbers this fall.

La-Lafayette
News: WR Javone Lawson in mid-season form.
CFG Analysis: Lawson looked like a fantasy stud in waiting after his three-touchdown performance in the spring game. He should be the top target in an up and coming offense and could make a solid #2 WR in all formats.

Louisiana Tech
News: QB Nick Isham is transferring.
CFG Analysis: This will in all likelihood mean that Colby Cameron will lock down the QB position in Sonny ****’s offense. Cameron showed flashed during the second half of last season, and is someone to keep an eye on this fall.

SMU
News: Potential stud wide out Darius Johnson suspended for indefinitely.
CFG Analysis: It might not be as bad as it sounds, but Johnson has been in trouble before and really needs to get it together. Johnson could be in store for a big season if he can walk the straight and narrow, so monitor the situation accordingly.

Houston
News: David Piland has strong grip on starting quarterback position.
CFG Analysis: It appears Piland will be given the keys to the high-speed car that is the Houston passing offense. He immediately vaults into a top five ranking if he is starting come Week one.

Oregon State
News:  The RB battle continues in Corvallis.
CFG Analysis: The Beavers are looking for the workhorse back that they have grown accustomed to, and there are three contenders. Malcolm Agnew, Storm Woods, and Terron Ward are locked in a tough competition. Whoever comes out on top should have the chance to post quality numbers this fall.

USC
News: RB Tre Madden out for 2012 season with a torn ACL
CFG Analysis: As we noted last week, Madden had been having a terrific spring at his new position, but that will be put on hold for this season as he suffered a torn ACL in practice. This will likely lead to even more opportunities for Curtis McNeal in 2012.

Missouri
News: RB Henry Josey likely heading for a redshirt this season.
CFG Analysis: Josey suffered a horrific knee injury last season and is still waiting to have his second surgery. Put Josey on the backburner for this year, but don’t forget about him come 2013.

Indiana
News: QB Tre Roberson looking to become complete quarterback.
CFG Analysis: Roberson has been throwing the ball a ton this spring in hopes of upping his completion percentage. He is a huge threat on the ground and could be a real “sleeper” if he can improve his passing skills.

Tennessee
News: RB Rajion Neal looks great in scrimmage
CFG Analysis: Neal ran for 100 yards on 15 carries in Friday’s scrimmage. He was picking up yards in chunks and could be in line for a bunch of carries as Tennessee looks to re-establish their running game this season.

Michigan State
News: RB LeVeon Bell being challenged by Coach Dantonio
CFG Analysis: Bell was singled out about becoming complacent and needs to respond in order to live up to his potential. He could be in store for a big season on the ground as long as he keeps working hard and doesn’t take things for granted.

Penn State
News: RB Redd turning heads this spring.
CFG Analysis: Silas Redd has been very impressive this spring and new coach Bill O’Brien has taken notice. Expect a heavy dose of Redd this fall and it is very possible that he could end up being a top 10 running back in all formats.

Oklahoma State
News: WR Blake Jackson one to watch in Stillwater.
CFG Analysis: Jackson is a big target coming in at 6-foot-3, 238 pounds, and is basically a TE playing the inside wide receiver position. He is said to have great hands and could be highly involved in the Pokes offense this fall. Keep Jackson on your watch list and see what happens this summer.  Also, see what position designation he has in your league (TE or WR)

Georgia
News: Super sophomore moving from WR to CB this spring?
CFG Analysis: Malcolm Mitchell had an impressive freshman season as a wide out, but he has been moved to cornerback this spring. It is unclear if he will play just corner or play both ways, but his fantasy potential took a huge hit either way.
