Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o became the first defensive player to win the Maxwell Award in the last 32 years. Hugh Green of Pittsburgh in 1980 was the last to do so. Te'o was awarded the Bednarik Award for the defensive player of the year and a hoard of other awards, totaling six major awards listed below. My votes for the Maxwell Award were Johnny Manziel, Manti Te'o, and Collin Klein in that order. I also vote for the Bednarik Award and Outland Trophy. My votes for the Bednarik were Manti Te'o, Jarvis Jones, and Jadeveon Clowney respectively. Alabama center Barrett Jones was my selection for the Outland Trophy, but also well worthy, Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel won it instead.  Most of college football's awards are already handed out except the Heisman Trophy which is televised Saturday 8 PM ET on ESPN.
