University of Houston’s newest member of the NFL, quarterback Case Keenum, may be remembered as the man who put the Cougars on the map. The Cougars finished the regular season 12-0 as they set a new school record for wins. It was the first undefeated and untied regular season in their 66-year history. The Cougars would lose to Southern Mississippi in the 2011 Conference USA Championship game and if they had won, they would have earned their first ever BCS berth. Instead of wondering what could have been the Cougars are ready to build upon their success and add solid recruits to make them even more relevant. Houston’s top recruit is defensive lineman Donald Hopkins. Hopkins, a former Missouri commitment, is a 2012 Under-Armour All-American and played in its annual all-star game on Jan. 5.
