Forgive Brett Nottingham, Josh Nunes and the rest of Stanford's quarterbacks if they forget whose turn it is with the first-team offense during spring practice. They've never really had the chance before. So when Stanford returned to the field this week for the first time in four years without Andrew Luck zipping passes, the competition to replace No. 12 instantly turned from friendly to fiery. Things figure to get even testier soon. Nottingham, last season's strong-armed backup, is the favorite to replace Luck. Nunes, a junior who pushed Nottingham for the job last year until a right turf toe injury derailed his season, is his primary challenger again. Fellow junior Robbie Picazo and freshmen Evan Crower and Kevin Hogan are taking snaps and Dallas Lloyd will enter school in August.
