Bartlett (TN) shooting guard Anthlon Bell, a 6′-3″ sweet shooter, made the call today, picking Arkansas over Massachusetts. Bell was set to enlarge the Razorbacks recruiting class of 2012 to two members, as athletic wing Michael Qualls committed about a week ago, but that was before talented power forward JaCorey Williams got into the act. In a busy Wednesday night for Arkansas men’s basketball fans, both Bell and Williams announced their commitments to join the program, via Twitter. The three recent commitments add diverse skillsets to the roster that will be beneficial down the road.
Bell’s forte is shooting, and he scorched his fair share of nets playing for Memphis YOMCA over the summer. He’s part of a push from the Arkansas staff to maintain and develop their presence in the hoops hotbed of Memphis, TN.
