Dana Holgorsen is not real happy with West Virginia fans this week after they failed to come out in full force to support the Mountaineers' 55-10 beatdown of Bowling Green last weekend.
Only 46,603 fans showed up to that contest that pushed the Mountaineers to 4-1 on the season after 62,056 packed Mountaineer Stadium the week before to watch West Virginia and LSU. There were all sorts of reasons spewed for the lack of attendance, including the Mid-American Conference opponent and chilly weather (It was a blustery 55 degrees at kickoff). And it probably didn't help that LSU lit up the Mountaineers 47-21 the week before.
"You only get seven opportunities a year," Holgorsen said during his weekly press conference. "What's so hard about it? It's too cold? Wasn't too cold for our players. Wasn't too cold for our coaches or managers or trainers; they're out there. So why did we have 20,000 people less at this one than we did last week?"
