Buffalo suspends Bronko Nagurski and Lombardi Award nominee Kahlil Mack:
Mack, who is on the Bronko Nagurski and the Lombardi Award lists was suspended for a violation of team rules just days after he got into a fight with teammate Fred Lee. Mack was absent from practice on Monday and missed last Saturday's intersquad scrimmage.
The Buffalo News notes that Lee was not suspended as his role less "extensive" than Khalil Mack's. No one in the athletics department would comment on how long the suspension will last, but with conference play beginning in week three, the Bulls can ill afford a long stint without him.
Mack is the key to Buffalo's defense. The junior spent the past two seasons racking up 133 total tackles, 35 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He is already tied for the program record with seven forced fumbles
