Remember DeAndrew White? The wide receiver from Houston who had proved as a prep star that he was not only good, but that he was fast? In Alabama’s fifth game of the season last year, White caught his eighth pass of the year on Bama’s first possession in what would be a 33-14 win over Ole Miss. On the next play he was injured.

Tired of having to deal with screaming kids on airplanes? Former Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones is to. But unlike you, he has come up with a solution for the problem.

The Alabama Crimson Tide took to the field for their first scrimmage of the year, but they did not impress Nick Saban at all.
University of Alabama football player Barrett Jones was named the male 2012-13 Southeastern Conference H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year, SEC Commissioner Mike Slive announced on Friday.
Alabama sophomore right-handed pitcher Spencer Turnbull extended his scoreless innings streak to 29 2/3 innings after throwing seven scoreless against No. 9 Arkansas, leading the Crimson Tide to a 5-0 Southeastern Conference victory on Saturday afternoon from Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Arkansas starter Ryne Stanek held the Alabama bats in check for eight innings and the No. 9-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks posted a 6-0 Southeastern Conference victory over the No. 22 ranked Crimson Tide on Friday night from Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The loss drops Alabama to 19-13 overall and 7-4 in the SEC, and Arkansas rises to 23-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
