It’s hard to argue that Dominique Brown wasn’t the most impressive player on the field at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Teddy Bridgewater and D’Vante Parker were both impressive as well, but Brown may have stood out more than anyone else. That is probably due to the fact that Louisville fans haven’t seen him since the 2011 season when he led the team in rushing.
Charlie Strong met with the media last week and spoke glowingly about how well Brown has been playing during spring ball. Not only did Strong mention that he was pleased to have Brown back on the field, but he also said the Cincinnati native is playing better than ever.
Brown came to Louisville as a quarterback in 2010, but was third on the depth chart. As a true freshman he saw most of his action as a wide receiver. Three games into the 2011 season, Brown was still third on the depth chart at QB and Louisville had a full roster of natural wide receivers.
