Via Lost Lettermen:

TCU kicker Ross Evans has a strong boot – but his leg landed him in jail for an incident earlier this month, according to reports.
The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram said that Evans was arrested for kicking in the door of an apartment to retrieve a friend’s cell phone. However, the apartment didn’t belong to either Evans or his friend.
The report said that there was a warrant for his arrest after the apartment’s owner filed a police report when he arrived to find his door damaged. Evans turned himself in Monday, according to the report, and was released on $2,500 bond.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram cited TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte, who said that the school still is “gathering information” and has not yet decided whether or not to punish Evans.
This was not a good way to spend time after being named the Mountain West’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
