The recruitment of the 2012 recruiting class’ consensus No. 1 player, Springfield, Missouri native Dorial Green-Beckham, has been nothing short of a circus. The rampant rumors on where the 6’6″, 230 pound wideout would land have finally come to an end on National Signing Day today, as Green-Beckham has chosen to play his collegiate football for Gary Pinkel and the Missouri Tigers. Missouri was the prohibitive favorite in Green-Beckham’s recruiting process due to it’s proximity to his hometown, and tendency to spread the ball around to wideouts and tight ends– generally focusing on the run over the pass– all attributes which DGB was open about as attractive during the last year. Green-Beckham has the attributes and raw athletic ability to make an instant impact for the Tigers in 2012 and should be an integral part of the Tigers’ offense as they make the transition to the Southeastern Conference in 2012.

Confession Of A College Football Fan: I Hate National Signing Day

Someone told me yesterday was a huge day for college football. What, I missed a big game? Ugggh! It was just National Signing Day. I guess I'm the rare college football fan who has no interest whatsoever in what happens on the first Wednesday of February every year. So some physical freak of a wide receiver named Dorial Green-Beckham spurned a bunch of big-time programs to...
