Recruiting season is in the home stretch, which means it's time for desperate coaches to break out the big guns in pursuit of the handful of sought-after prospects still sporting an "undecided" next to their name. This year, no prospect is more sought-after — or more undecided — than Springfield, Mo., wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, unanimously regarded as the No. 1 recruit in the 2012 class. And within the scope of NCAA rules, there are few guns in any coach's arsenal bigger than the helicopter that dropped off Missouri coach Gary Pinkel today at Green-Beckham's high school.
No, smartass, it's not court-ordered: In fact, Pinkel's been taking out the chopper since at least 2009, as have a handful of other coaches — Greg Schiano, James Franklin and (of course) Lane Kiffin among them — who appreciate the mobility and the opportunity to make an entrance.
