Found April 24, 2009 on 700 Level:

Tomorrow evening's draft will bring closure to months worth of speculation.  We've kicked around a lot of names in anticipation of this event, promoting players that we hope the Eagles will consider and taking stabs at what we figure they will do.  This is your last chance to say, "they will" or "they should."

Knowshon My opinion: I've bought the hype.  Running back is the biggest area of need on the roster, and as Paul Domowitch finds in today's Daily News, Knowshon Moreno is indeed the best fit.  He has good size and can run between the tackles, but has the ability to make defenders miss and can catch the ball out of the backfield.  Sounds like everything we like in a back.

What's more, I actually believe the Eagles might even be willing to move up and get Moreno.  San Diego may not be interested in a first round runner, or at least not Knowshon in particular, however another team further down might get trigger happy and, for the third year in a row, move up and steal the Birds' target.  If they like him as much as it sounds, no way they will let this happen.

If they decide to chance it and Moreno is off the board at 21, my next guess is they'll find a way to draft Donald Brown.  At that spot, most will probably consider it a reach, but the same was also said about the Titans selection of Chris Johnson last year.  Of course, they could always attempt to land him after the dreaded trade down...

In the second and third rounds, they'll target tight ends and either a DE or DB.

Finally, I don't see a deal for Anquan Boldin.  Can they do something similar to the deal the Falcons struck for Tony Gonzalez, sending picks next year?  Maybe, but I still don't get the impression that Boldin is coming to Philly if it's going to cost a first.

That's just one man's take on one of the most unpredictable events in sport.  What do you think will happen?
