Shane Vereen, RB, California
Height: 5′10″
Weight: 204 lbs.
Class: Junior
Pros:
Low center of gravity
Good speed
Patient runner
Takes good angles
Decent receiver
Handles kick returns
Cons:
Struggles at times to break tackles
Doesn’t use speed to his advantage
Doesn’t use the stiff arm
Not enough film to know if he is a capable blocker
Thoughts:
Thickly built back capable of being a nice compliment to a starter in the pros and might even be able to start if he can round out his game while enhancing what he already does well. NFL teams may look at him to be their option to run whatever version wildcat they run.
Projected Round:
Right now he is probably in the 4th round range. He’ll have a chance to move up if he can have a breakout year and forgo his senior season.
