Duke has two quarterbacks already on the roster, redshirt junior Anthony Boone and redshirt freshman Thomas Sirk. Replacing graduating senior Sean Renfree will not be an easy task, but Boone has starting experience as he led the team to a victory over Virginia this year when he was out with an injury. There are high hopes for Sirk around the program and he will push for playing time behind Boone. Brandon Connette will lineup at QB in the wildcat formation from time to time but plays multiple positions and will likely play less QB with dual threats Boone and Sirk under center.
There is some question whether Chambers will play QB at Duke, but if you watch his highlights below he is quite the talent. Could he end up like Connette, playing multiple positions? Barring injuries, we probably won’t see for a 2-3 years. Boehme is considered a pure passer by ESPN, but he is clearly a threat to run. With Boone and Sirk having a lockdown on the position for anywhere from 2-4 years, it will be s...

Duke Football Signing Day — Wide Receivers and Running Backs
David Cutcliffe has long been known as a quarterbacks guru, and his offense while at Duke has reflected that talent at developing passers. While the team had a 55/45 pass-run split in plays called last year, the Blue Devils gained 75% of their yards on passing plays. Duke
Duke’s struggles since Ryan Kelly went down to injury are well documented. Everyone has basically admitted that this isn’t the same team without its 6-foot-11 stretch four and they clearly aren’t.
Duke continues to search for consistency as Ryan Kelly’s return remains the center of attention
