Eastern Michigan Could Not Stop Ball State

YPSILANTI, Mich. — The blue sky and the warm sunshine that bathed the field at Rynearson Stadium made going back to work for the Eastern Michigan University football team not too bad of an ordeal. Eastern Michigan University fell to Ball State University 33-31, when Cardinal place kicker Steven Scott made a 44 yard field goal with just 1:02 left in the game. The Eagles’ offense led by the power running of Javonti Greene and Dominique White, the finesse and speed of Dominique Sherrer and the mature quarterback for the Eagles Alex Gillett keeping the Ball State University defense on guard but also venerable to big plays. The Eagles ran for 501 yard on the ground unfortunately they needed 502 yards. Gillett ran for a team leading 126 yards, White ran for 83 yards and Sherrer contributed 76 yards for the day but nobody ran the ball across the goal line for the Eagles.
