Arizona State football coach Dennis Erickson on Sunday shot down a report from footballscoop.com that he informed his staff this weekend that this season will his last.
There is no truth to it whatsoever, Erickson said. We have two games left -- a lot can happen and I believe we have made great progress.

ASU (6-5) has lost three straight games and four of five after a 5-1 start. The latest setback was a stunning 31-27 loss at home to rival Arizona, which entered the game having beaten just one its last 14 FBS opponents.
ASU can still win the Pac-12 South and play in the conferences inaugural title game with a win over Cal on Friday coupled with a UCLA loss at USC and a Utah win over Colorado. The Sun Devils would win the three-way tiebreaker.
