As preseason games go, the sloppy and wet first quarter of this one would be one the top ranked Florida Gators would like to forget. Turnovers, dropped passes, and poor protection plagued the Gators in the first period, meaning many around the country began to follow this one. With the Gators clinging to a 7-3 lead after one quarter of play and a turnover setting up the men of Troy deep in Gator territory, everyone's upset radars began to beep. Superman Tim Tebow would have none of that. The Heisman Trophy winning Senior quarterback led Florida to 28 second-quarter points to blow the ballgame open and give Florida a 35-3 edge heading into half time. After a botch snap robbed the Trojans of a point blank field goal attempt, Tebow capped a five play 65-yard drive with a 36 yard scoring pass to Riley Cooper to make it 14-3 Florida. A three-and-out by Troy would give the ball back to the Gators and Florida went right back down the field, driving to the four-yard line where Tebow too...
