Found July 24, 2008 on Chiefs Gab:
Second round pick Brandon Flowers has now signed his contract. Agreeing to terms on a four year deal with the Chiefs. Which is a real positive if Flowers is going to replace Ty Law he needs to get in there early and hit the ground running. Flowers has all the abilities and a lot of experts projected him in the first round. He just needs to get educated in the cover two. Then there was two. Glen Dorsey and Brandon Albert both have their agents negotiating at this time with the Chiefs to strike a deal before camp. Albert would be the player I would put my money on the Chiefs signing next. Chris Williams and the Bears got their contract worked out today. Williams was the 14th pick in the draft Albert was the 15th and they play the same position. That makes working this deal out a lot more likely. Since Albert would know what the ceiling is as far guaranteed dollars and bonus money. Dorsey still has a shot to make it into camp on time. He has said over and over again he does not want to be a hold out. His agent appears ready to wait until the sixth pick in the draft Vernon Gholston and the Jets finalize their deal to gauge Dorsey?s value. Carl will not blink first. He will wait for Glen and his agent to break and Carl will save his million dollars over five years or whatever the petty hold up will be. Smart money says Albert makes it in on time and Dorsey is the last to show.
