TUCSON, Ariz. Junior college quarterback Jesse Scroggins has signed a National Letter of Intent and will be eligible to play for the Arizona football team in 2013 as a redshirt junior. Scroggins was a four-star recruit from Lakewood (Calif.) High School in 2010. The No. 6 quarterback in the 2010 class according to Scout.com, he is a dual-threat quarterback with a strong arm and the ability to run. Scroggins spent the 2010 (redshirt) and 2011 seasons at USC before transferring to El Camino College for the 2012 season. At El Camino College in 2012, Scroggins played in eight games and threw for 1,148 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had two rushing touchdowns. In his senior season at Lakewood, Scroggins threw 35 touchdowns and just five interceptions and rushed for another three scores. He completed 163 of 258 passes for 2,395 yards.
