While it has been a long time coming, Mississippi State fans have the news they have been waiting for as Greenville-Weston four star linebacker Gerri Green has committed to Coach Dan Mullen and the home state Bulldogs. Green, considered a long time Mississippi State lean, informed the Bulldog coaching staff yesterday of his intentions of announcing his verbal pledge to Mississippi State today.

Mississippi State Bulldogs continue to send ridiculous recruiting letters

This is now the third comical recruiting letter from the Mississippi State Bulldogs coaching staff that has emerged on the Internet and I have to say that at this point I would love to meet the head coach, Dan Mullen.  I just want to know how they come up with these drawings and what the logic is behind these letters and why they think this is a good idea.  I feel like most recruits...

Mullen Sees Mixed First Scrimmage Results

The season is still weeks away, which is something Dan Mullen reminded himself of often Thursday morning. He was observing Mississippi State’s first scrimmage of August, and the results were mixed. Not terrible, maybe not even too bad all aspects considered. Still, “I’m disappointed,” Mullen said, “in what normally happens in first scrimmage.”

Mississippi State Bulldogs send comical recruiting letter to Michigan commit

Michigan linebacker commit Michael Ferns recently opened a recruiting letter from Mississippi State that he had forgotten about and this is what was inside.  If you remember, Ferns also received a letter from the Bulldogs coaching staff that said “YOU’RE A BALLER” on the inside and nothing else.  Not sure what Swag tastes like, but I think “Stark Vegas” could be a fun...

Photo: Mississippi State Sends 5-Star CB Marlon Humphrey Another Bizarre Letter

We’ve seen coaches go to some pretty extensive lengths to convince players to come play for their squad. For example, last week Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops sent Braxton Berrios 104 handwritten letters. Or there is the always comical NC State recruiting letter that was sent to C.J. Reavis trying to sway him. But after today, those tactics seem a little less “out there...

Bulldogs Work Around Tuesday Weather

When Dan Mullen calls himself a ‘rainmaker’ he isn’t referring to the legal profession. No, he means the real 100%-chance-of-precipitation thing. Because the first two days down on the Farm have seen storms disrupt Mississippi State’s practice schedule. And this isn’t the sort of Farm which wants wet weather, either.

Green's a great get for State

Mississippi State picked up their 15th commitment in the 2014 class Wednesday and it came from four-star outside linebacker Gerri Green. Find out what MSU is getting here...

Geoff Collins Illustrates Significant Moments In American History

Mississippi State defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, known around these parts for the great "You're a Baller" and "Can of SWAG" recruiting notes, has returned to this happy land with his latest artistic venture for cornerback Marlon Humphrey. While another strong effort from Collins (though why is Buggs Life so small?), perhaps it is time to use...
