Frank, the Story is Utah….

The Sun Devils gave the Utes a continued rude welcome to the Pac-12 (Photo: Michael Kossett/Fanster.com)I know, using a line from a cheesy Chevy Chase movie is a little off, but it’s so apropos.  If there was ever a school or city that longed to be in the big time of college sports, then the University of Utah and Salt Lake City fit the bill.  The embracing of the Pac-12 after leaving the Mountain West Conference is very obvious.  Nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, the University of Utah sits in an idyllic mountainous setting overlooking the Salt Lake Valley.  Snow capped mountains are surrounded by crisp mountain air with deer walking carelessly through a cemetery outside the south end-zone.   Consensus among visiting media is that Rice-Eccles Stadium ranks right up there with Washington and Cal’s picturesque settings.
