Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel is doubtful for Saturday's game against Jacksonville State. Coach Will Muschamp says fellow sophomore Jacoby Brissett likely will start against the lower-division Gamecocks. Driskel sprained his right ankle in the third quarter of Saturday's 27-20 win over Louisiana-Lafayette and probably won't practice this week. He is wearing a protective walking boot. The seventh-ranked Gators finish the regular season next week at No. 10 Florida State. Brissett replaced Driskel, completing 6 of 8 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked twice and nearly threw an interception on his first four passing plays. But Brissett rebounded, finding Jordan Reed down the middle for a 39-yard gain and then hooking up with Quinton Dunbar for a 3-yard score to tie the game with 1:42 remaining.

No. 8 Florida loses WR Solomon Patton for season

No. 8 Florida will be without receiver Solomon Patton for the rest of the season. Patton, a junior from Mobile, Ala., broke his left arm in Saturday's 17-9 loss to rival Georgia. Coach Will Muschamp said Monday that Patton won't play again this year. Patton has just one reception for 17 yards this season. But he has 14 carries for 140 yards and has played an integral role...

Florida head football coach Will Muschamp's angry face is hilarious

After the #2 ranked Florida Gators lost over the weekend to Georgia, you can understand if head coach Will Muschamp wanted to kill a couple of his players metaphorically speaking.During the game, CBS cameras caught a confrontation between Muschamp and Florida tight-end Trey Burton.Clearly, Trey should have fled the scene once he saw Muschamp's glare:

Driskel accepts the blame

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel owned it. He threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles in easily the worst game of his career, but the sophomore quarterback took responsibility for it after the game. His decisions on the field kept points off the board as the Florida offense struggled and often set the Georgia offense up for points.

Florida Fan Has Life-Threatening Injuries After Tailgating Fan Brawl

The Florida Gators fan who was knocked out in a fan fight before Saturday’s Georgia-UF game has life-threatening injuries, according to the Florida student newspaper. Yes, there’s a YouTube video of the fight and shows the seemingly unconscious UF fan being dragged from a pond. Via: Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda told Jacksonville reporters an ambulance...

The most awkward post game handshake between Mark Richt and Will Muschamp

In the aftermath of the Florida Gator – Georgia Bulldog game in Jacksonville, there was a moment of awkwardness in the post game handshake between Will Muschamp and Mark Richt. I did not speed this clip up at all and this is in real time. That was probably a 1 second “handshake.” Mark Richt didn’t look happy and Will Muschamp never looks happy. Jordan Reed fumbled on the...

Video: Gators reflect on loss

Florida lost a heart-breaker to rival Georgia in Jacksonville Saturday, but the Gators are determined to bounce back as a team. Safety Josh Evans and offensive lineman Jon Halapio talk about the loss and moving forward right here.

Protection issues slowing the offense

Whenever Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel dropped back to pass against Georgia, a Georgia pass rusher was almost always there to greet him. The Florida pass protection struggled to block the Bulldogs rushers, which kept the Gators from being able to take any shots down the field in the passing game. It’s an area that has to improve for the Florida offense to get better in the future.

DC's Conference Power Rankings: Week 10

The Florida Gators may have lost on Saturday, but this girl was quick to remind me they're a big reason the SEC remains on top. The MAC and Sun Belt are making moves in the positive direction, while the same can't be said for the Big East. There's still plenty of football left for that to change, but the top three are cemented in stone at this point.  1. SEC I know...

Top Targets React to UGA Win

Georgia beat the No. 2 ranked Florida Gators Saturday afternoon and some of UGA's top targets had their eyes on the game. Find out their thoughts here.

Predictability an issue on first down

The Gators have run the ball on 78.1% of their first down plays this season. The coaching staff has downplayed concerns with defenses picking up on the trends, but there’s still a desire to become more balanced early in the drive. The 175 rushing plays compared to 51 passing plays on first down shows that the Gators need to be more creative and give opposing defenses something...

The Fantasy BCS scenario for Florida State

The latest BCS scenarios have Florida State at 9. Now in all likelihood Florida State will end up in the Orange Bowl, but  I’m calling this fantasy scenario but with a twist of realism, where FSU gets in the national title game. Chances are really slim I know that, but lets see what has to happen. Even this might might not be enough, because the numbers may not quite work out...

Georgia Upsets Sloppy Florida: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

The No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 2 Florida Gators met up once again in Jacksonville, FL at the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party”. The game itself was anything but a party, in fact, it was actually more of a well, dog fight considering what was at stake. Florida was playing for a spot in the SEC championship game. Georgia, on the other hand, was playing for the opportunity...
