JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Less than a minute into Saturday's Florida-Georgia game, Brad Phillips was suddenly thrust into the spotlight for the first time as a Gator. With starting kicker Caleb Sturgis unable to play due to a strained right leg, Phillips jogged onto the field to attempt a 38-yard field goal on the game's opening drive. Phillips' kick sailed right as the Gators struck out on the scoreboard after quarterback John Brantley's 72-yard screen pass to Jeff Demps moved them into scoring position.
