Auburn Tigers coach Gene Chizik is about as on the hot seat as they come, but Chizik is sticking with his assistants and won’t be making any changes during the season.
At the end of every year we go back and we evaluate everything that everybody does, just like we’ve done every year that I’ve been here. We’ve got five games left. Our one focus for the next five weeks is nothing but trying to win a game, and that’s it. At the end of every year, just like we do, we go out and evaluate everybody as I get evaluated.
Expect Chizik to make some major changes after the season is over, but it may be too little too late.
The Tigers are 1 – 6 and have lost their last two games to Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. It won’t get any better for the Tigers going forward as they face 20 Texas A&M this weekend and still have to face 10 Georgia and 1 Alabama.
If he wants to save his job on the plains, Chizik may need to fix something soon.
