The 2013 Georgia Bulldogs enter the season coming off a heartbreaking end to the 2012 regular season.The Bulldogs were only five yards away from defeating Alabama in the SEC Championship game and playing Notre Dame for the national title.The Dawgs came up just short and had to settle for a trip to the Capital One bowl where they defeated Nebraska 45-31. This season Georgia will look to rebound from the disappointment of the 2012 SEC title game and make the leap to become SEC champions.The 2013 Bulldogs return nine starters on offense and only three on defense. The offense will have to carry the Bulldogs in the early portion of the season while the defense gains confidence entering SEC regular season play.The problem is that the Bulldogs open up with two very tough games. On August 31 Georgia plays Clemson to open the season and the Dawgs' defense will be tested early and often. August 1st marked the start of fall camp for the Bulldogs, and one of the main stories surrounding the defense is that of the outside linebackers. The majority of Georgia’s new defense is composed of younger players, but the new guys show much promise for the future of the program, especially on the outside.
Keith Marshall had a 75-yard touchdown run but Aaron Murray threw three interceptions in Georgia's scrimmage that left coach Mark Richt unimpressed.
