Georgia's hopes for a second SEC East title or more have taken a big hit as the teams leading receiver Michael Bennett is out for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL.
"The redshirt sophomore from Alpharetta tore the ACL in his right knee
toward the end of practice on Tuesday, according to an announcement
from the school this morning.
Bennett leads Georgia in receptions (24), receiving yards (345) and touchdown catches (four).
Bennett will undergo reconstructive surgery at a date to be determined."
Despite his injury, Bennett remained positive about the Bulldogs' chances for success on Twitter.
God has a plan for me and everything happens for a reason. Get ready for a historic season Dawg nation. Our boys are gonna get it done!

Despite the loss of Bennett, Georgia has good depth in its receiving unit.
