If the name Taylor Gentry escapes you, don’t feel bad. Gentry, after all, plays the unglamorous role of fullback for the North Carolina State Wolfpack, and through three years of playing time, has never once carried the ball. Still, Gentry has made a tremendous mark on the Wolfpack football program in other ways since his arrival as a preferred walk-on in Raleigh in 2008, pulling down a combined 24 receptions for 199 yards and three touchdowns in his sophomore and junior campaigns. He also led the team in special teams snaps and tackles each of the last two years en route to being named Special Teams Player of the Year for both 2009 and 2010.
