After many months of waiting, fans and players alike are ready for the first game of the 2009 College Football Season. The Indiana Hoosiers, who last season were a disappointing 3-9 will take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, who went 8-4 last year, including 7-1 in conference. This fall, fans will finally get to see all the changes made to help improve the team and the experience of going to games. First, Kellen Lewis is no longer on the team, as he was dismissed in the spring due to violating team rules again. Second, a number of players on offense and defense switched positions in the spring, including Ray Fisher (WR to CB) and Trea Burgess (LB to RB). Third, IU installed the "Pistol" offense, which has a running back line up behind the Quarter back in the shotgun formation, which gives the running backs some time to see downfield and be able to run better.
