Silas Redd has gone from not so "Happy" Valley to the sunshine of Southern California. You can't really blame Redd for wanting a change of scenery. Amidst the scandal unraveling at Penn State, the highly sought after running back, who led the Nittany Lions in rushing last year, decided to seek greener pastures. The NCAA had given Penn State players permission to transfer to other institutions without penalty or mandatory missed games. Lane Kiffin and his team are inheriting a tremendous athlete who will be an enormous and influential part of their offense. Redd scampered for 1,188 yards in the 2011 regular season, third most in the Big Ten and 22nd out of all NCAA FBS players. The ex-Nittany Lion also rushed for 100 or more yards in six of 12 games for Penn State, including a career-high 164-yard game. Adding yet another deadly weapon to Matt Barkley's arsenal propels the Trojans even more into talks of winning a national championship. It will be interesting to ...

Silas Redd Deleted His Twitter Account

Silas Redd (@MomentOfSilas25) has reportedly deleted his twitter account. This can’t be a good sign for Penn State, as it now looks like he is USC bound. After all, the RB would probably want to avoid looking at his mentions at all cost after announcing a transfer. Thanks to “The Herd” for the tip this morning.

Silas Redd’s Wikipedia page may not be accurate

I could very well be mistaken here but I’m pretty sure that Penn State running back Silas Redd’s Wikipedia page may contain some errors. The Penn State back is currently being recruited by USC Trojan Head Coach Lane Kiffin. On Wikipedia, his team already lists him as a Trojan. Here is the first sentence to give you an idea: Silas Redd (born March 1, 1992) is an American footballrunning...

Redd is the highest-profile student athlete to transfer from Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. On Monday, backup safety Tim Buckley became the first Penn State football player to transfer when he went to...

Redd Makes Move to the Men of Troy

Ever since the sanctions handed down by the NCAA just over a week ago there's been a lot of speculation as to who may go and who may stay at Penn State, but no one drew as much attention as Junior running back Silas Redd. The junior running back was clearly the star of the offense for the 2012 Nittany Lions, rushing for over 1,200 yards in 2011. Today he made the rumored...

Penn State RB Silas Redd to transfer to USC

Depth at running back was a huge concern for USC entering the 2012 season. On Tuesday, the Trojans got a little deeper. Penn State running back Silas Redd has announced his intention to transfer to USC as first reported by The Petros and Money Show on FOX Sports Radio last Thursday. Redd, who will be a junior in the fall and has two years of eligibility remaining, rushed for...

See ya later, Silas Redd. Good luck in So. Cal.

Even the ginormous support of 2,500 Penn State fans at yesterday’s Rise and Rally in Happy Valley was enough to keep Silas Redd in Blue & White. The Nittany Lions lost the only offensive weapon they had left from last year as Silas decided to take his talents to So. Cal. Man… Apparently Lane Kiffin is still as good a recruiter as he was in the six hours he spent at Tennessee...

Would Bill O’Brien be recruiting Penn State players if he were at another school? ‘Hell no!’

Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien has been relatively mum on the idea that some of his players could be looking for greener pastures. But now that seven players have decided to transfer and Lane Kiffin and that Mercedes jet has lured Silas Redd away, O’Brien can no longer hold his peace. In an interview with the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, O’Brien gave his thoughts on opposing...

Penn State players defecting en masse

Four Penn State players are gone. Redshirt safety Tim Buckley transferred to NC State. He was the first. Then came star tailback Silas Redd who rushed for over 1200 yards last year. He’s now a USC Trojan. Junior TE Kevin Haplea is expected to transfer to Florida State. Only had 3 catches, and 1 TD but was an integral part of their blocking scheme. QB Rob Bolden is transferring...

USC Recruited Running Back Silas Redd By Using a Mercedes Jet

When USC wants their guy, they go all-out. According to Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin, USC brought a Mercedes jet to woo Penn State running back Silas Redd to transfer to them. Kiffin tells Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio: After studying his roster and Penn State’s, Kiffin settled on Silas Redd as the Trojans’ only target. After a quick conversation, a mutual interest was established...

Bill O’Brien: ‘Hell no!’ he wouldn’t recruit the Penn State players (Video)

When Lane Kiffin shamelessly began recruiting former Penn State running back Silas Redd, who eventually transferred to USC, most people said that that is something all college football coaches would do. Not Bill O’Brien, man of morals that he is. The current Penn State football coach, who took the job while the school was being investigated for potentially covering up the actions...

College Football Updates

College Football Updates By SBRForum.com How will the Penn State scandal and other top stories affect the college football picks for the up-coming season? In the end, the punishments were still...

Lane Kiffin gives us a behind the scenes look at his pursuit of Silas Redd

The very moment that the NCAA announced that Penn State players could transfer and play immediately, Lane Kiffin began scheming on how he could lure running back Silas Redd to USC. So how did Kiffin...

Silas Redd may leave PSU, but that’s OK

It seems like a foregone conclusion that Silas Redd will be joining Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell and the rest of the condom crew in Southern Cali. Reports are out that he has visited USC and has spoken with Lane Kiffin, Matt Barkley and Robert Woods, and has really enjoyed his visits – ESPN might as well put Silas on the USC depth chart right now with the way they cover Penn State...

Big Tentacles: Silas Redd transfers, Tommy Rees suspended, Mark Dantonio, and more.

WR Brown latest to leave Penn State

Justin Brown is the second Penn State offensive starter to leave the team in the aftermath of NCAA sanctions. The senior wideout's name was dropped from the roster Sunday. He would have been a key target in the revamped passing game under new coach and former Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. Nine players have now left the team the past week following the sanctions...
