This past Tuesday OL Nate Solder and CB Jimmy Smith both worked out at Colorado’s pro day.  Both are possible selections for the Lions in the upcoming draft.  Nate Solder had a solid day, showcasing how quick and athletic he is.  However, he did lose 12 pounds since the NFL Combine.  Scouts were already questioning if he could maintain his weight during the season.

Jimmy Smith only did one combine event, he ran a 11.42 long shuffle.  Reports say that Smith became fatigued during position drills.  That makes you wonder why Smith wasn’t in shape and what his work ethic is like off the field.

Also, Solder laid out Bronco scout Matt Russell during a drill.  Matt Russell played for the Lions in 1997.  Here is the video:
