Last weekend was a scary one for Michigan, as the Wolverines had to really hold on to avoid a major upset by the Akron Zips. After Devin Gardner’s pretty mediocre performance, the star quarterback received a pretty interesting text, that told him to keep his head up — from Johnny Manziel.

It’s pretty interesting that Manziel took the time to text Gardner, especially considering he had to keep his own head up after the loss to Alabama — I guess misery loves company. Either way, it’s a pretty classy move by Manziel, who does a lot of things the right way, despite getting a ton of attention for his mistakes.

Considering that the Michigan Wolverines and San Fransisco 49ers coached by Brady Hoke and Jim Harbaugh respectively, underperformed considerably this weekend, and, as a result of some recent comments from the Wolverine nation being posted around the inter-webs as a result, we want to know:

By now, everybody is aware that Michigan Football picked up, what Taylor Lewan called an embarrassing 28-24 victory over Akron on Saturday. The Zips brought a 27 game road losing streak with them to the Big House and were inside Michigan’s five yard line with a chance to win the game as time expired. The narrow victory seemed to magnify Michigan’s short-comings.
So what’s the...

It’s still early in Seth Towns’ recruitment — the 6-foot-7 forward will be a sophomore this season — but his versatile game and sizeable potential already has schools paying attention. Towns already holds Xavier and Dayton offers while West Virginia, Ohio State and Michigan are tracking him closely.
But according to Towns, there is one school that is paying closer attention...
Three weeks into the 2013 season and teams from the Big Ten saw a big shocker, and almost HUGE shocker and a few dominate performances this past Saturday. But, before Purdue takes the conference’s first foray into league action when they travel to Madison to take on the Badgers, let’s take a quick look back on how the B1G did last week.

It was not an enterprising, well-to-do Michigan fan behind the "Go Blue" skywriting, but actually the Wolverines athletic department itself.
