The 2012 Heisman ceremony takes place in New York on December 10th. What are we waiting for? Do we really need two more months of games to decide that West Virginia QB Geno Smith is the "most outstanding" player in college football? Was there a voter in the country that watched his performance against Baylor and thought, "This Smith kid is good, but let's wait and see what Le'Veon Bell does against Ohio State later..."? Usain Bolt running in one of those elementary school track meets that Hershey sponsors would be more competitive than this Heisman "race." Smith completed 45 of 51 passes for 656 yards and 8 TDs against the Bears Saturday, leading the Mountaineers to 70 points for the second time in their last five games (they only scored 69 against Marshall...losers) and racking up a QB rating of 248.0.
