Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon wasted no time in declaring himself eligible for the 2012 NFL Draft. In his post-game interview with ESPN’s Heather Cox, Blackmon said “I think I’m gonna go ahead and enter the draft and see what happens after that,” after helping the Cowboys win the 2012 Fiesta Bowl.
Blackmon ended his college career in the only fashion he knows how, with a huge game, recording 8 receptions for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. The offensive MVP award will look real nice next to his two Biletnikoff trophies.
Heading into the Draft, Blackmon faces questions about whether or not the Oklahoma State system aided too much in his production along with him being smaller and slower than the prototypical wide receiver. Regardless of the uncertainty, he is said to be a top 5 pick and the first wide receiver off the board in April.
