Kansas center Jeremiah Hatch has been taken off the field on a stretcher after getting hurt in the first quarter of Saturday night's game against Oklahoma.
Hatch was blocking downfield on a pass completion from Jordan Webb to Darrian Miller. The senior from Dallas wound in the middle of the pile after Miller was tackled and did not get up.
Trainers immediately tended to Hatch, who was placed on a backboard with his neck immobilized. He was loaded onto a cart and taken off the field with medical personnel still working on him.
There was no word whether he had movement in his extremities.
Kansas scored on the first play after Hatch was hurt to cut No. 3 Oklahoma's lead to 10-7.
