Kansas State says it's been assured the NCAA has no concerns about two Wildcats football players identified by a jailed University of Miami booster as recipients of improper gifts. Miami resident Nevin Shapiro has told Yahoo! Sports he paid for lunch and hotel rooms for brothers Arthur and Bryce Brown, their parents and a friend when they visited Miami in March 2008. The Browns are from Wichita. In a brief statement Wednesday night, Kansas State said it's been informed by NCAA staff that the organization has no concerns about the Browns' eligibility to compete for the Wildcats. Arthur Brown is a junior linebacker, while Bryce is a sophomore running back. Both transferred to Kansas State from elsewhere and sat out last year because of NCAA transfer rules.
