Since taking over as the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeye football program in 1998, Kirk Ferentz has been able to take the program to new heights.

Since 2001, the Hawkeyes have always been bowl eligible under Kirk Ferentz and the only time they did not play in a post season game in that span was in 2007. Also during that time frame, he has had 4 double-digit win seasons and finished ranked inside the top 10 in each one of those years.  As the head coach at Iowa, Kirk Ferentz has taken his team to 10 bowl games and been able to win 6 of them.
