Collin Klein and Kansas State are two wins away from almost certainly playing for the school's first national championship. The second-ranked Wildcats (10-0) are headed to Texas for the second Saturday night in a row. This time they play Baylor (4-5), which is still trying to get bowl eligible after losing its Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback to the NFL. The Wildcats, No. 1 in the latest BCS rankings, know their title dreams will be out of reach if they lose one of their last two regular-season games. Heisman Trophy front-running quarterback Klein says they still haven't played their best game. K-State is coming off its lowest-scoring outing of the season, in a 23-10 win at TCU. There were two turnovers, after only one the previous six games.

Baylor 52, Kansas State 24: Wildcats, Klein stunned by the Bears

Well college football fans, you knew this day was coming. You didn’t know when, where or how it’d hit, but you knew at some point, all college football common logic would go to hell and BCS chaos would ensue. Finally, it happened Saturday. Kansas State's loss adds to BCS chaos

WACO, Texas The only thing more confusing than the muddled BCS championship picture after No. 1 Kansas State and No. 2 Oregon lost on the same night might be the explanations given for Kansas State's 52-24 thumping at the hands of Baylor. Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder didn't think his Wildcats handled the title of being the nation's No. 1 team heading into the...

K-State's Klein has confidence in brother, Kyle

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) Every week, the pressure on Collin Klein becomes a little more oppressive. Klein's the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy, the poster boy for the program and this week the cover boy for Sports Illustrated. It&...

BCS Nightmare: What Happens If Kansas State, Oregon and Notre Dame All Lose?

Streeter Lecka/Getty Images Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook Alright, folks this is where it could get really good. Or, if you are in love with the BCS like yours truly then this is where it could get dangerous (though I think it makes it even better). What on earth happens if the entire top three loses within the next three weeks? Both teams have looked as...

Brendan's Heisman Ballot: Week 12

With two weeks left in the season we're switching the Heisman Ballot format up. Instead of a Top 3, a list of contenders, and a long shot we've narrowed the list down to five guys that can actually win the trophy. Here's how they rank heading into Week 12. We'll surely see some reshuffling amongst them, but barring a Bobby Boucher, Bayou Bowl-level performance from...

DC's Top 10: Week 12

After almost a year of Alabama holding down the top spot in our rankings I'd completely run out of pictures of Alabama fans and cheerleaders, so it's good that we finally got some fresh blood up there. Here's how the rankings shake out after our first change at the top in 2012... 1. OREGON (10-0): The Ducks lead the nation in scoring, averaging 55 points per game...
