Luke Kuechly continued to bolster his draft stock on Monday at the NFL Scouting Combine by being in the top five in most of the workouts. The former St. Xavier standout, who played at Boston College, was third among the linebackers in the 40-yard dash with an official time of 4.58 seconds. Cal’s Marvin Kendricks had the top time at 4.47 followed by North Carolina’s Zach Brown at 4.50. Kuechly tied with Iowa’s Tyler Nielsen (11.43 seconds) in the 60-yard shuttle. Kuechly was third in the vertical jump (38 inches) and 20-yard shuttle (4.12 seconds), fourth in the three-cone drill (6.92 seconds), fifth in the broad jump (10 feet-3 inches).
