It seems as if Levi Norwood will not be carrying on a family tradition after all. The younger brother of Jordan Norwood, Levi has asked for and granted a release from his LOI with Penn State. His father, Brian Norwood was once the secondary coach for the Nittany Lions from 2001-07 before he was offered and accepted the defensive coordinator position at Baylor. Fortunately for us, Jordan Norwood stuck around for his senior season despite his father’s departure and developed into a standout go-to receiver. Levi’s departure marked the end of a puzzling recruitment that began when he became the 11th verbal for the Nittany Lions Class of 2010 last July. Levi was a relatively under-the-radar player, just a 3-star prospect rated by Scout and Rivals.
