Michigan's Taylor Lewan and Will Hagerup each picked up individual honors on the first night of Big Ten football awards Monday, while several Wolverines and Spartans were named to the All-Conference teams. Lewan won the Rimington-Pace Award for the conference's best offensive lineman and Hagerup picked up the Eddleman-Fields Award for the best punter. Lewan was also named as a First-Team All-Conference tackle by both the media and coaches, while Hagerup was named First Team by the media, but just Honorable Mention by the coaches. Lewan and Hagerup were the only Wolverines to earn First-Team honors on the media ballot, and Le'Veon Bell was Michigan State's only representative. Jake Ryan made Second-Team according to the media, as did Dion Sims, William Gholston, Max Bullough, Johnny Adams, Darqueze Dennard and Mike Sadler. Michigan guard Patrick Omameh joined Lewan, Bell, Bullough, Adams, Dennard and Sadler as First-Team selection by the coaches, with Sims and Michigan's Craig Roh and Jordan Kovacs on the second team. The biggest individual awards, including Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, will be announced on Tuesday.

The Michigan Wolverines had an opportunity to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes for the second consecutive year but couldn’t get it done. The Wolverines had a halftime 21-20 lead but unfortunately in the second half the conservative play-calling and missed opportunities along with some defense that was less than stellar allowed the Buckeyes to dominate the half and earn a 26-21 victory...

Even after a loss, we're still Michigan!

The bad news is our offense stalled in the 2nd half in Columbus and we lost a 26-21 contest with Ohio State that we could have won, should have won.  Could have and should have are phrases more suited to humans than to Wolverines.  What did happen happened.  What “could have happened” and “should have happened” did not happen and it never will happen because the game is...

MMQ still doesn’t know what Borges was thinking

It has been already been said by a number of people, so I won’t spend a lot of time on this. Something about losing to Ohio State doesn’t make me real interested in talking Michigan football. But I suppose it’s necessary to some degree, so here we go. In my opinion, the Michigan coaching staff’s record against OSU is as follows: Brady Hoke and everyone except Al Borges: 1...
