MAC-Attack: The 2009 Bowling Green Falcons

The end of summer is growing near and the change in season is making its mark on the sporting world. Our focus today is on Mid-American Conference football and the Falcons of Bowling Green State University. 2008 Record: 4-4 (6-6)   Key Losses: DE Diyral Briggs, DE Joe Schaefer, LB Erique Dozier, LB John Haneline, CB Kenny Lewis, and CB Antonio Smith   2009 Key Games: Ball State (Away, 10/17) Central Michigan (Home, 10/24) Buffalo (Away, 11/12)   Analysis:Behind a strong front seven on defense, the Falcons finished second in the MAC East in '08. Unfortunately, the departure of two defensive ends, two linebackers, and two corners leaves some rebuilding for new head coach Dave Clawson in '09. On the flipside, senior safeties P.J. Mahone and Jahmal Brown return to the team and will provide some stability to the defense featuring an inexperience front seven.
