Marlon Brown suffered a and ACL injury in Saturday's game against Ole Miss and will miss the rest of the season. He is a senior. Mark Richt confirmed Sunday evening that Brown has a torn ACL and needs season-ending surgery. His career with the Bulldogs is also over. Brown was tied for first on the team with receptions (27) and second on the team in receiving yards (469) with four receiving touchdowns on the season — most of which came in three games this year. He finishes his career with 851 yards and eight touchdowns. If there’s any silver lining to the situation, it’s that Brown’s last collegiate game was among his best. He finished the day with three catches for 113 yards and a score. [College Football Talk]

Georgia Bulldogs: Who’s Ready to Step-Up at Receiver?

The loss of Marlon Brown to an ACL injury has brought to mind only one question, who can/will fill the void? Georgia Handles Ole Miss 37-10

Ole Miss jumped out to a 10-0 second quarter lead on the road and it looked like Georgia would struggle in this one. They did struggle but only for one half of football. Georgia called a play-action fake on a third and short and Aaron Murray hit a wide open, and when I say wide open I mean fifteen yards wide open, Marlon Brown for a 66 yard TD bomb.
